The truth was Joe Bob was a liar. There was no time machine, nor would there ever likely be one, for you see, Joe Bob worked in his basement for years on his invention and was successful in only making the invention disappear and reappear anywhere in the world.

Try as he might, though, he could never get it to break the time barrier.
